Development Focus

• To facilitate cross-boundary medical innovation collaboration.
• To leverage the platform of the GCMTI to establish internationally recognized quality standards for Chinese medicine products, driving the standardization and internationalization of Chinese medicine, and facilitating technology transfer to the Chinese medicine industry. Through these efforts, we will enhance the industry's quality control over Chinese medicine and its products, thereby developing Hong Kong as an international center for Chinese medicine testing and quality control.
• Hong Kong's first Chinese Medicine Hospital will actively integrate into the Greater Bay Area consortium of Chinese medicine services and Chinese medicine hospitals, and promote the development of Chinese medicine services, talent nurturing, and research, among other aspects.
• To collaborate with institutions in the Greater Bay Area in jointing launching Chinese medicine talent exchange and nurturing programmes and continuing the Greater Bay Area Chinese Medicine Visiting Scholars Programme, thereby enriching the pool of Chinese medicine backbone talents for Hong Kong through clinical practice and in-depth training. This initiative will also facilitate professional exchanges in Chinese medicine within the Greater Bay Area.
• To improve coordination mechanism on emergency medical rescue services.
• To promote integration of medical and elderly care to create an environment favourable for Hong Kong and Macao residents to retire in Guangdong.
• Building upon the collaboration experience with Guangdong from the HA's Healthcare Talent Exchange Programme, to pursue exchanges of clinical healthcare professionals and talents with other Mainland cities (e.g. Shanghai).
