The State Council approved a plan to deepen pilot projects for the innovative development of the service trade, as proposed by the Ministry of Commerce. There will be 17 pilot regions for promoting innovative development of the service trade including Shenzhen and Guangzhou. The pilot projects will last two years from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2020. The approved plan included facilitation measures for financial services, telecommunication services, tourism and travel-related services and professional services.
