The Guangzhou Municipal Finance Bureau, Guangzhou Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, Guangzhou Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and Guangzhou Municipal Tax Service, State Taxation Administration have issued a notice on interim measures of Guangzhou Municipality concerning administration on financial subsidies related to individual income tax preferential policies in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area on 13 August 2019. The measures include the subsidies of individual income tax in Guangzhou, clarification on the conditions and scope of overseas high-end talents and talents in shortage, the calculation method of financial subsidies and the procedures and regulations for the subsidies. The measures took effect on 1 January 2019 and would be trialled for one year.
