The Guangzhou Municipal Science and Technology Bureau issued the “Notice on Issuance of Application Guideline of 2019 Non-resident High-end Talents Individual Income Tax (“IIT”) Financial Subsidies” on 30 June 2020. The Bureaus announced that non-resident high-end talents and talents in short supply (including those eligible Hong Kong and Macao permanent residents) who work and pay taxes in Guangzhou can apply for IIT financial subsidies via E-Tax Bureau during the period from 1 July 2020 to 15 August 2020.
