On 18 February 2021, the Department of Natural Resources of Guangdong Province issued the "Notice on Matters Concerning the Record Filing of Hong Kong and Macao Registered Urban Planning Professionals to Practice in Guangdong Province". The notice sets out relevant explanations regarding matters related to the record filing of Hong Kong and Macao urban planning professionals to practice in Guangdong Province from 6 main directions including the scope of applicable personnel, the scope of record filing, the requirements for record filing, the procedures for record filing, the management of registered personnel and the responsibilities of the competent authority. The notice clearly states that Hong Kong and Macao citizens that obtain the qualification of Hong Kong Registered Professional Planners or Macao Urban Planning Professionals that meet the record filing requirements of this notice, could apply in person to the Department of Natural Resources of Guangdong Province for record filing, fill in the record filing application form and submit the required record filing materials.
