The Science and Technology Innovation Bureau of the Zhuhai Municipality issued the “Application Guidelines for the Preferential Individual Income Tax Policy in the Guangdong Hong Kong - Macao Greater Bay Area of the Zhuhai Municipality in 2020” on 1 July 2021. Hong Kong and Macao permanent residents and Hong Kong residents admitted under the Hong Kong admission schemes can apply for individual income tax (“IIT”) financial subsidies when specific requirements are met. Applicants can refer to Section 5, 7 and 9 of the guidelines for the application procedures, calculation method of the IIT financial subsidies and required application materials. The application timeline is 1 July 2021 to 15 August 2021.
