The Guangdong Provincial Tax Service of the State Taxation Administration ("the authorities") issued the "Administrative Measures for the Practice of Hong Kong and Macao Tax-related Professionals in the Guangzhou Municipal Nansha New Area and Nansha Area of the China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone" on 31 March 2023. The authorities announced that Hong Kong tax-related professionals who accept the management of the Taxation Institute of Hong Kong, have obtained the qualifications of Hong Kong tax accountants for 3 years, have engaged in tax-related professional services for 3 consecutive years, and meet the conditions listed in Section 4 can practise in Guangzhou Municipal Nansha area and Nansha New Area. This Measures will come into effect on 1 May 2023.
