On 5 June 2023, the General Affairs Office of the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government issued the “Various Measures of Creating High-quality Brand Name Serving Real Economy Development in the Shenzhen Municipality” (“the Measures”). The Measures encourage various entities to invest in the construction of the national quality standard laboratories, national product quality inspection and examination centres, industrial measurement test centres and innovation bases of technical standard in emerging fields such as quantum measurement, new generation information technology, biomedicine, new energy vehicles, integrated circuit, functional materials, medical apparatus and agricultural science and technology etc. In addition, the Measures promote cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area to jointly build and share quality infrastructure and explore the international market in accordance with widely accepted rules. The Measures shall be implemented from 20 June 2023 and will be valid for 5 years.
