On 21 July 2023, the Jiangmen Municipal People's Government issued the “Various Measures for Promoting High-quality Investment Development in the Jiangmen Municipality” (“the Measures”). The Measures proposed to promote the investment projects made by investors from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese. The Measures also aimed to deepen the science and technology cooperation between Jiangmen, Hong Kong and Macao, encourage private and foreign-invested enterprises to establish innovation-oriented enterprises and service institutions, host or participate in science and technology projects, and participate in science and technology award appraisal.
