The Shenzhen Housing and Construction Bureau and six other departments (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to the Implementation Opinions on Strengthening the Talent Team Establishment for the Modern Construction Industry to Facilitate High-Quality Industry Development” (“the Notice”) on 25 August 2023. The authorities announced to provide high-quality modern construction industry talents for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and to establish the “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Construction Industry Talent Exchange and Cooperation Platform”. In conjunction with the development of the Qianhai International Talent Port, the authorities would focus on strengthening cooperation with organizations such as the Hong Kong Development Bureau, Housing Department, Architectural Services Department, the Construction Industry Council and etc., and launch sustained cooperation for talent and project collaboration in the construction industries between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, in areas such as industry interaction, worker training, qualification recognition, talent exchange, talent recruitment and etc.
