On 29 August 2023, the General Affairs Office of Guangzhou Municipal People's Government issued the “Various Measures for Promoting the High-Quality Development of Public Institutions in Guangzhou” (“the Measures”). The Measures clearly and orderly listed out the work requirements of international exchange, which include leveraging location advantages of Guangzhou, supporting Nansha Area to construct the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Nansha) public institutional cooperation innovation base, promoting the collaborative governance of public institutions in Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macao, and facilitating economic development and livelihood services in Guangzhou. The Measures come into force on 29 August 2023 and will be valid for 5 years.
