On 28 September 2023, the Office of the Guangzhou Nansha District Administrative Committee and the Office of the People’s Government of Guangzhou Nansha District issued the “Support Measures of Guangzhou Nansha New District (Free Trade Zone) for Promoting High-quality Development of Commercial Services Industries” (“the Measures”). The Measures support enterprises of mainland, Hong Kong and Macao and the international well-known enterprise to establish outlets in Nansha New District. A subsidy of up to RMB 1 million will be granted to catering enterprises that initially open stores in Nansha New District with the investment exceeding RMB 1 million. In particular, international enterprises from the Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and will be granted at 30% of the actual investment amount while other catering brand enterprises will be awarded at 10% of the actual investment amount. The Measures will take effect from the date of issuance and will be valid until 31 December 2025.
