The Office of People’s Government of Guangzhou Municipal Tianhe District (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to the Administrative Measures for Home-based Community Elderly Care Services in Guangzhou Municipal Tianhe District” (“the Notice”) on 14 November 2023. The authorities announced that these measures are formulated to regulate home-based community elderly care services in the Tianhe District and to accelerate the development of the elderly care services. The construction of district-level community elderly care facilities shall be the responsibility of the District Civil Affairs Bureau. The subsidy standard for construction is RMB 400 per square meter, with a maximum subsidy of up to RMB 400,000 per facility. These Measures shall be implemented from 14 November 2023 and valid for 5 years.
