On 20 November 2023, the Office of the People's Government of Zhuhai Municipality issued the “Implementation Plan for Accelerating and Promoting High-quality Meteorological Development in Zhuhai Municipality” (“the Plan”). The Plan proposed the main task which includes strengthening the innovative and coordinated development of meteorological authorities in Zhuhai Municipality and Macao and promoting the establishment of meteorological innovation and application research centre. In addition, the Plan proposed to land the Achievement Transformation and Academic Exchange Centre for Meteorological Research Institute in Zhuhai Municipality, facilitate the talent rotation and resource sharing under the “1 + N” scientific and technological innovation platform of the Meteorological Research Institute in the Guangdong-Hong Kong- Macao Greater Bay Area and promote the integration and innovation of meteorological science and technology within Zhuhai Municipality and Macao.
