The Shenzhen Municipal People’s Congress (“the authorities”) issued the “Regulations in relation to the Talent Work in the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone” (“the Regulations”) on 4 December 2023. The authorities announced the establishment of talent reward system, which the Municipality and District People’s government shall grant rewards to various types of talents who have made significant contributions. Meanwhile, establishing comprehensive talent service and safeguard system, innovative talent work policies, systems, mechanisms, methods and approaches, and actively creating favourable environment for talent development to attract both domestic and overseas talents. These Regulations shall be effective from 1 December 2023.
