On 5 December 2023, the Shenzhen Industrial and Information Technology Bureau issued the “Action Plan for Quality Development of Computing Infrastructure in Shenzhen Municipality (2024-2025)” (“the Plan”). The Plan proposed to establish an interconnected and efficient collaborative computing network which covers supercomputer centres, intelligence centres, data centres and other diversified computing centres, achieve the convergence of public computing capacity, facilitate cooperation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong and the development of the digital industry in the Greater Bay Area, and guide the innovative application of computing power technologies.
