The Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of the Guangzhou Municipality (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to Reposting the “General Office of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province Issuing Notice in relation to Employment Optimisation and Stabilization Policies and Measures to Promote Development and Facilitate People’s Livelihood”” (“the Notice”) on 6 February 2024. The authorities announced to support the establishment of a one-stop service platform for employment and entrepreneurship for Hong Kong and Macao youth and encourage newly introduced service agencies from Hong Kong and Macao to provide various services. Meanwhile, the authorities also announced to increase the support of the “Greater Bay Area Youth Employment Program” and provide employment subsidy fund to participating youth, and living allowance of RMB2,000 per person per month. These Measures shall be effective from 6 February 2024 and valid for 5 years.
