The Huizhou Municipal Medical Security Bureau, the Ministry of Finance of Huizhou Municipality, and the Huizhou Municipal Tax Service of the State Taxation Administration (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to Implementation Measures for Basic Social Medical Insurance in Huizhou Municipality” (“the Notice”) on 8 February 2024. The authorities announced that the lower and upper limits of employee medical insurance contribution base shall be jointly released every year by the Tax Service Department and the Medical Security Bureau. These Measures shall be effective from 1 March 2024 and valid for 5 years.
