The Foshan Municipal People’s Government Office (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to Implementation Measures for Non-Foshan Resident School-aged Children and Youth to Enrol in Public School for Compulsory Education in the Foshan Municipality” (“the Notice”) on 14 March 2024. The authorities announced that eligible non-Foshan resident school-aged children and youth can apply to enrol in public school in the Foshan Municipality. Non-Foshan resident school-aged children and youth to enrol in public school in the Foshan Municipality are divided into two categories: policy-based admissions and points-based admissions. These Measures shall be effective from 14 March 2024 and valid for 5 years.
