On 27 March 2024, the Zhuhai Municipal Bureau of Commerce issued the “Application Guidelines for the 2025 Special Fund for Domestic and Foreign Economic and Trade Development in Zhuhai Municipality (Promoting the Construction of the New Trade Channel of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and Facilitating High-Quality Development of Modern Logistics Industry)” (“the Guidelines”). The Guidelines support cross-border freight transportation through the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and proposed that for highway manifest transmission personnel in Zhuhai Municipality, if the total number of freight trips between Zhuhai and Hong Kong through the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is no less than 100 per year, and the declared cargo value for container trucks exceeds USD30,000 per trip, with a declared weight of not less than 1000 kilograms per trip, a subsidy of up to RMB800 per trip will be provided. The maximum annual funding amount for each application will not exceed RMB2 million. The online application period for enterprises is from 9:00AM on 7 April 2024, to 11:59PM on 11 May 2024.
