On 27 March 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance and the Civil Aviation Administration of China issued the “Implementation Plan for Innovative Application of General Aviation Equipment (2024-2030)” (“the Plan”). The Plan proposed to encourage unmanned aerial vehicle (“UAV”) intercity transportation and last-mile delivery application demonstrations in key regions such as the Yangtze River Delta, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao, Sichuan-Chongqing, Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, and Xinjiang. The goal of the Plan is to establish a comprehensive aviation logistics distribution equipment system with large-scale and wide-ranging capabilities.
