On 7 April 2024, the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin issued the “Implementation Measures for Supporting the Construction of Innovative Platform Carriers in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin” (“the Measures”). The Measures proposed to provide subsidy to enterprises in the cooperation zone that jointly establish collaborative laboratories with Macao universities for academic research demonstration base. The subsidy will be offered at 30% of the actual investment from the enterprise, with a maximum of RMB 2 million to each joint laboratory. The Measures will be implemented from 1 January 2023, and will be effective until 31 December 2025.
