On 7 April 2024, the Guangzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau issued the “Various Measures for Promoting the Innovative Development of Bonded Logistics in Guangzhou Municipality” (“the Measures”). The Measures proposed to establish a bonded fuel blending centre in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The aim of the Measures is to facilitate the operation of bonded blending of bunker fuel oil for international vessels using bonded logistics and reduce the cost of bunker fuel oil blending for companies registered in the Nansha Free Trade Zone. The Measures are implemented on 7 April 2024 and will be valid for 2 years.
