The Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Justice (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to the “Implementation Measures of the 3 Year Action Plan for the High-quality Development of the Legal Profession in Shenzhen Municipality (2023-2025)”” (“the Notice”) on 7 April 2024. The authorities announced that law firms that qualify for the first type of reward criteria shall receive a reward not exceeding RMB100,000 for each newly introduced industry leading talent. Meanwhile, law firms that qualify for the second type of reward criteria shall receive a reward not exceeding RMB50,000 for each newly introduced urgently needed talents; a reward not exceeding RMB100,000 for two or more newly introduced urgently needed talents. These Measures shall be effective from 12 April 2024 and valid until 20 August 2026.
