On 29 April 2025, the General Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice of Issuing Action Plan for Further Promoting the High-quality Development of Venture Capital in Guangdong Province” (“the Measures”). The authorities announced to encourage a diversity of entities such as large state-owned enterprises, research institutions and innovation and entrepreneurship platforms to participate in venture capital, aiming to enhance comprehensive services in equity investment and strategic consulting.
