The Guangzhou Municipal Education Bureau and the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of Guangzhou Municipality (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to Work Plan for the Household Registration of Teachers in Private Schools in Guangzhou Municipality for 2025” (“the Notice”) on 16 June 2025. The authorities proposed that teachers in private schools who have a legal residence in Guangzhou Municipality, have continuously taught at a private school in the municipality for the past three years, and have received satisfactory annual assessments are eligible to apply for household registration in Guangzhou Municipality. A total of 327 teachers from private schools will be expected to enroll household registration in 2025.
