The General Office of the People’s Government of Guangzhou Municipality (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to Reissuing the Administrative Measures on Policy Household Registration in Guangzhou Municipality” (“the Notice”) on 30 June 2025. The authorities proposed that student without household registration in Guangzhou Municipality who are enrolled in regular higher education institutions, secondary vocational schools and technical schools in Guangzhou Municipality and satisfied the enrolment plans under the provincial or municipal development and reform departments, are eligible for the collective household registration. The Notice is effective until 31 December 2026.
