The Shenzhen Municipal Health Commission (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to Effectively Implementing the Title Evaluation for Healthcare Professionals and Technicians in 2024” (“the Notice”) on 1 July 2025. The authorities proposed that employees who engaged in clinical work, pharmacy, nursing, medical technology, public health, and health research in Shenzhen’s medical institutions and have fulfilled relevant evaluation criteria are eligible to apply for title evaluations for professionals and technicians. In particular, healthcare professionals and technicians from grassroots medical institution must complete a continuous training program of at least three months at a higher-level medical institution before promotion to the associate senior professional title.
