The General Office of the State Council (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to Further Strengthening Support for Employment Stabilization Policies” (“the Notice”) on 3 July 2025. The authorities proposed that for small and medium-size enterprises in key industries that sign labour contracts of one year or more with employees and made contribution for their basic pension insurance, basic medical insurance and unemployment insurance, a subsidy of 25% of the individual contribution amount will be granted. The subsidy will be applied by the enterprises, with the application period ending in December 2025. Enterprises must promptly distribute it to eligible employees upon receiving the subsidy.
