The General Office of the People’s Government of Guangzhou Municipality (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to Reissuing the Administrative Measures for the Household Registration of Talents Introduced to Guangzhou Municipality” (“the Notice”) on 4 July 2025. The authorities proposed that individuals with a master’s degree, under the age of 45, who are middle-to-senior managers, technical backbones, or urgently needed personnel in key supported enterprises, project units and social organizations in Guangzhou Municipality are eligible to transfer their household registration to the municipality. The Notice is valid until 31 December 2026.
