On 7 July 2025, the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice of Issuing Implementation Rules for Headquarters Capability Award of Multinational Corporations in Guangdong Province” (“the Measures”). The authorities announced that one-off capability award of up to RMB 8 million shall be provided to eligible China regional headquarters of multinational corporation, Asia-Pacific regional headquarters, and global business division headquarters located in Guangdong Province. These Rules shall be effective until 31 December 2027.
