On 7 July 2025, the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice of Issuing Implementation Rules for Supporting the Settlement Rewards of Foreign-funded Research and Development Centres in Guangdong Province” (“the Measures”). The authorities announced that each eligible foreign-funded research and development centre shall be provided with a one-off subsidy of up to RMB 1 million. These Rules shall be effective until 31 December 2027.
