On 21 July 2025, the Management Committee of Guangzhou Development Zone and the People’s Government of Huangpu District of Guangzhou Municipality (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice of Issuing Several Measures for Promoting High-quality Development of the Biomedical Industry in Guangzhou Development Zone (Huangpu District)” (“the Measures”). The authorities announced to encourage the inclusion of products in the catalogue of urgently needed imported pharmaceuticals and medical devices for clinical use from Hong Kong and Macao, and each variety of product shall be provided with a subsidy of up to RMB 100,000 to the domestic enterprise legal person or domestic agent. These Measures shall be valid for 3 years.
