The Management Centre of Housing Provident Fund of Zhongshan Municipality (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to ‘Implementation Rules for Individual Housing Loans from the Housing Provident Fund in Zhongshan Municipality’” (“the Notice”) on 1 August 2025. The authorities proposed that applicants with good credit, the ability to repay the principal and interest of the loan, a total monthly debt repayment amount not exceeding 50% of their monthly income, and who have continuously contributed to the housing provident fund for more than six months are eligible to apply for a housing provident fund loan. The Notice is effective for five years.
