On 11 August 2025, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province and the Department of Finance of Guangdong Province (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice of Issuing Implementation Rules for the Fund Management in relation to the Innovative Development of the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Industry” (“the Measures”). The authorities announced that provincial-level manufacturing innovation centres shall be provided with subsidy not exceeding 40% of the total amount of newly purchased research and development instruments and equipment for the project, with a maximum of RMB 10 million per project. These Measures shall be effective from 1 September 2025 and valid until 31 December 2027.
