On 12 August 2025, the Office of the Guangzhou Nansha District Administrative Committee and the Office of the People’s Government of Guangzhou Nansha District (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice of Issuing Supporting Measures for Promoting the High-quality Development of the Legal Services Cluster in Guangzhou Municipal Nansha District (2025 Revised Edition)” (“the Measures”). The authorities announced that joint law firms established by Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Mainland law firms or representative offices for Hong Kong Special Administrative Region law firms based in Guangzhou Municipal Nansha District shall be provided with subsidies based on office rental expenses, at 100% for the first year, 50% for the second year, and 25% for the third to fifth year, at a maximum of RMB 3 million per year. These Measures shall be effective until 31 December 2026.
