Government technology applications showcased at International ICT Expo

The Office of the Government Chief Information Officer showcases various technology applications the government departments have adopted and will employ at the Smart Government Pavilion at the International ICT Expo starting today (April 13).
The Government Chief Information Officer, Mr Victor Lam (second right), tours the Smart Government Pavilion at the International ICT Expo today (April 13) and inspects the prototype of the smart lamppost. The prototype exhibits the camera, various sensors and smart devices installed. First batch of smart lampposts will commence service in mid-2019.
The Office of the Government Chief Information Officer showcases various technology applications the Government departments have adopted and will employ at the Smart Government Pavilion at the International ICT Expo starting today (April 13). Visitors can try out the quick and simple online registration of eID at the Pavilion. The eID will be launched in mid-2020 to allow users to conduct online transactions with government and commercial entities with a single digital authentication.
