Co-hosting of the 15th National Games by Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao
The 15th National Games and the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympic Games will be co-hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao in November and December 2025 respectively. This is the first time for the National Games to be co-hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, which is of great significance and is in line with the objectives of the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to build a bay area for leisure and shape a healthy bay area. Hong Kong will dedicate the fullest efforts in co-hosting a “simple, safe and wonderful” National Games in collaboration with Guangdong and Macao, and thereby further strengthening the exchanges and collaborations between Hong Kong and the GBA cities in sports and other areas.
