Unilateral Recognition Policy for Cross-boundary Motor Insurance
The HKSAR Government, in coordination with the Insurance Authority, has implemented the “unilateral recognition” policy for cross-boundary motor insurance in parallel with Northbound Travel for Hong Kong Vehicles, so that owners of Hong Kong private cars travelling to the Guangdong Province via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge can have a more convenient channel to arrange the necessary insurance coverage for driving in the Mainland.
