The HKSAR Government is stepping up promotions of and enhancing the existing tax concessionary measures for ship lessors and shipping commercial principals (i.e. ship agents, ship managers and ship brokers) as well as exploring the introduction of tax concessions for physical commodity trading to attract relevant enterprises from the Mainland and overseas to set up businesses in Hong Kong and build a commodity trading ecosystem; keeping the Talent List of Hong Kong (covering Marine Insurance Professionals, Naval Architects and Marine Superintendents and Shipping Finance Professionals) updated; enhancing services and expanded service coverage of the Hong Kong Shipping Registry; and driving the development of Smart Port in collaboration with the trade.
