Greater Bay Area Policies

The Office maintains close liaison with chambers of commerce, professional bodies, youth associations and various stakeholders, and conducts exchanges on the latest policies and measures related to Greater Bay Area development.

2024

The Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Erick Tsang Kwok-wai, attended the Wealth Expo 2024 forum and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, sharing how Hong Kong can leverage its advantages in dovetailing with the country's strategic plans on Greater Bay Area development and supporting talents and enterprises to tap the Greater Bay Area market through Hong Kong.

The Deputy Commissioner, Mr Benjamin Mok, attended an exchange forum for international talents organised by the Hong Kong Top Talent Services Association, introducing to overseas talents pursuing development in Hong Kong the opportunities brought about by Greater Bay Area development, as well as various policies and measures that support talents and enterprises in leveraging Hong Kong's distinctive advantages to grasp the opportunities in the Greater Bay Area.

The Assistant Commissioner, Miss Cathy Li, briefed members of the Women's Commission on HKSAR Government's efforts in proactively taking forward Greater Bay Area development.

The Under Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Clement Woo, saw off students of diverse races joining a youth exchange tour to the Greater Bay Area on inclusion, innovation and technology as well as culture. He bore witness to participating students who could enjoy greater convenience of immigration clearance brought about by the Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents (Non-Chinese Citizens) effective from July 2024, enabling them to better seize the historic opportunities arising from the rapid development of the country and of the Greater Bay Area.

The Deputy Commissioner, Mr Benjamin Mok, attended a conference on "Building A New Economic Corridor via Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Facilitating Coordinated Development of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao", and exchanged views with other guests on how Hong Kong and Zhuhai can further leverage the unique advantages of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge to deepen higher-level co-operation between the two places and among various cities of the Greater Bay Area in different areas.

The Deputy Commissioner, Mr Benjamin Mok, attended a study and exchange programme on fostering high-quality development of the Greater Bay Area, to share the work of the HKSAR Government in taking forward Greater Bay Area development and exchange views with around 20 officials from relevant government departments of Guangzhou Municipality.

The Deputy Commissioner, Mr Benjamin Mok, attended the Greater Bay Area Seminar 2024 organised by the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce. He shared with around 100 guests at the Seminar how the HKSAR Government has adopted a multi-pronged approach to reinforce and enhance Hong Kong's unique advantages, strive for more policy innovations and breakthroughs to strengthen higher-level inter-connectivity among the Greater Bay Area cities and support Hong Kong talents and enterprises in seizing the opportunities in the Greater Bay Area.
