
The SCMA, Mr Erick Tsang Kwok-wai, attended the presentation ceremony of the Greater Bay Area Outstanding Entrepreneur Awards 2024, witnessing the recognition of outstanding entrepreneurs who have actively participated in and contributed to the development of the Greater Bay Area. He remarked that the HKSAR Government will strive to fully implement the important spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, and take forward the work on promoting Hong Kong’s integration into the overall national development, including fostering high-quality and in-depth development of the Greater Bay Area, while at the same time supporting Hong Kong talents and enterprises in seizing the significant opportunities in the Greater Bay Area.

The Commissioner, Ms Maisie Chan, delivered a keynote speech at the gala dinner of the General Committee of Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong, introducing to around 100 guests the HKSAR Government’s work on accelerating Greater Bay Area development and achieving a higher level of connectivity, as well as exchanging views with the attending General Committee members.

The USCMA, Mr Clement Woo, delivered a keynote speech via video at Greater Bay Area Day 2024 of the Life Underwriters Association of Hong Kong held in Nansha, Guangzhou, introducing to over 150 guests from the insurance industry the HKSAR Government’s efforts in taking forward Greater Bay Area development, and enabling the industry to learn about the opportunities in the Greater Bay Area.
The SCMA, Mr Erick Tsang Kwok-wai, delivered a speech at the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the inauguration ceremony of the 6th Executive Council of Federation of Hong Kong Zhuhai Community. He remarked that the commissioning of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge has contributed to the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Logistics Park and the Fly-Via-Zhuhai-Hong Kong direct passenger service, thereby further strengthening close co-operation between the two places in logistics and shipping services; and that the Airport Authority Hong Kong’s equity acquisition of Zhuhai Airport has fostered high-level connectivity between the two places in passenger and cargo services, playing a more proactive role in facilitating Greater Bay Area development.

The USCMA, Mr Clement Woo, attended the Forum on “China’s Macroeconomics and the Greater Bay Area Integration 2024” and had sharing and exchanges with experts and scholars from the Mainland and Hong Kong at an exchange session on the theme of “pursuing the Greater Bay Area’s missions and aligning with the country’s new strategic trends”.

The USCMA, Mr Clement Woo, attended a forum on life planning and development of Hong Kong students in the Greater Bay Area organised by the Shine Tak Foundation, exchanging views with representatives of the sector on the latest situations of life planning, further education and employment etc. in the Greater Bay Area, and encouraging teachers and students to make more visits to the Mainland cities of the Greater Bay Area to see for themselves the abundant opportunities in the Greater Bay Area.
