The People's Government of Guangdong Province issued the "Action Plan for Implementing Tourism Development measures in Guangdong Province" on 27 July 2018. The Action Plan encouraged tourism development with Guangzhou and Shenzhen as the centre with focus on the three travelling circles among Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhaoqing; Shenzhen, Dongguan, Huizhou; and Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Jiangmen. Meanwhile, the Action Plan encouraged to boost tourism quality in the Pearl River Delta and to develop more multi-stop tourism spots and to develop Guangdong Province as an international food and tourism location. The Action Plan also encouraged tourism related to Chinese medicine and health and suggested related public services and support policies.
