The China Securities Regulatory Commission announced on 21 March 2019 the cancellation of application documents and shortening of the promised processing time for certain administrative licensing items. With immediate effect, the approval time required for the establishment of a representative office in China by a foreign securities institution will be shortened to 20 working days.
