Notice on the Issuance of the “Policy Measures from the Jiangmen Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security on Supporting Hong Kong and Macao Residents for Employment and Entrepreneurship in Jiangmen”

The Jiangmen Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security issued the “Policy Measures from the Jiangmen Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security on Supporting Hong Kong and Macao Residents for Employment and Entrepreneurship in Jiangmen” on 20 January 2020. Twelve measures were introduced in total, including the following:
- Offering financial assistance of up to RMB500,000 for newly setup innovative entrepreneurship bases by Hong Kong and Macao youths;
- Offering financial assistance of up to RMB30,000 to eligible Hong Kong and Macao residents taking up employment for the first time in Jiangmen from 1 January 2020; and
- Offering housing allowances of up to RMB2,000 per month to eligible Hong Kong and Macao residents taking up employment or with start-up businesses for the first time from 1 January 2020.
The above measures are effective on 20 February 2020 and are valid for 3 years.
