The People's Government of Dongguan issued the “Point-Based School Admission System for Compulsory Education for Non-Household-Registered School-Aged Children in Dongguan” (“the Point-Based System”) on 14 April 2020. In order to optimise the school admission for non-household-registered children, the Point-Based System set out the application details including criteria, location, procedures, scoring basis and scoring items. Please refer to the appendix for details on the point calculation and specific implementation. The Point-Based System will take effect from 18 May 2020 and is valid until 18 May 2022.
