The Human Resources and Social Security Department of Guangdong Province issued a notice on “Administrative Measures (for Trial Implementation) on the Open Recruitment of Hong Kong and Macao Residents for Institutions (Mainland) in the Greater Bay Area (“GBA”)” (“the Measures”) on 17 July 2020. Hong Kong and Macao residents employed by institutions in the nine GBA cities may receive salaries and benefits including pensions and medical insurance as authorised by the State. High-level talents in short supply from Hong Kong and Macao who are employed by institutions in the nine GBA cities may apply for “Superior Talent Cards” upon nomination, in which they may enjoy related benefits and convenience services.
The Measures took effect from 24 June 2020 and is valid until 31 December 2021.
