Measures to Further Facilitate the Development of Hong Kong and Macao Residents in Shenzhen

The General Office of the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government (“the General Office”) issued the “Measures to Further Facilitate the Development of Hong Kong and Macao Residents in Shenzhen” on 31 March 2021. The General Office has formulated 18 measures to facilitate Hong Kong and Macao residents, especially the Hong Kong and Macao youths, to study, work, set up business and live in Shenzhen, including:

• Facilitate Hong Kong and Macao students to enjoy the compulsory education in Shenzhen
• Increase the amount of scholarship for Hong Kong and Macao students in Shenzhen universities
• Support Hong Kong and Macao students in Shenzhen for internship, traineeship and employment, and enable them to enjoy the corresponding treatment and subsidies in accordance with Shenzhen's relevant talent policies
• Provide entrepreneurial subsidies to Hong Kong and Macao youths in Shenzhen
• Set up a Hong Kong and Macao youth entrepreneurship guidance fund in Shenzhen
• Implement policies of residence permits for Hong Kong and Macao residents and housing securities policies for Hong Kong and Macao talents
• Provide public transportation concession to Hong Kong and Macao residents living in Shenzhen
