On 17 February 2023, the General Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province issued the "Various Measures for Building a High-standard Credit Service Market and Promoting High-quality Credit Service Development in Guangdong Province" ("the Measures"). The Measures specified the requirements for improving credit service system, including building a cross-border credit standard system with Hong Kong and Macao and a Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau credit service alliance by leveraging the connection with relevant industry associations. In addition, the Measures proposed to promote the cooperation among credit service agencies in the Greater Bay Area in the field of technologies, standards and talents, and promote the connections of rules and mechanisms in the Greater Bay Area.
