The General Office of the State Council (“the authorities”) issued the “Opinions in relation to Promote the Construction of Basic Elderly Service System” (“the Opinions”) on 21 May 2023. The authorities announced the following opinions in order to improve the basic elderly service system, and further protect the living of the elderly, including formulating basic elderly service list, improving basic elderly service safeguard system, increasing basic elderly service supply capability, etc.
